Anna Gdula and Rafał Witek to take part in the Congress of International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI)
From October 5 to 14 the Congress of International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI) will take place. Due to the ongoing pandemic, the event will be held online, however the hosts announced that the virtual platform that will be used will permit to provide an experience as close to a physical presence as possible. Our firm will be represented there by Anna Gdula and Rafal Witek.
The agenda of the Congress looks very promising: specific sessions will be dedicated to a variety of pressing and current topics. The broad spectre of subjects to be covered encompasses, i.a., challenges for the IP sector in the time of the COVID-19 crisis, the role of the AI in the pharmaceutical sector, specific aspects of patentability of diagnostic inventions, and even IP blogs as a particularly effectively tool of popularizing knowledge. The participation of practitioners from leading law firms as well as judges from diverse jurisdictions and high representatives of the WIPO, EPO and UPSTO has already been confirmed. Furthermore, the program of the Congress includes special events such as Women in AIPPI and AIPPI Young Members Forum.
