UNION-IP Congress 2023 took place in Stockholm from June 14 to 17. This was the first edition of the congress after the break caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. The WTS law firm was represented at the event by Anna Rożkowicz and Rafał Witek.

The title of the congress was “An IP Climate Forecast”. The extensive and insightful program focused on the issues of the rapidly changing reality that the IP law has to navigate. The subject of discussion were both structural transformations within the intellectual property protection system (launch of the UPC) and external challenges, in particular the climate change.

The list of speakers included high officials of leading European IP offices, as well as representatives of such institutions as EPO, WIPO, or UPC.

The organizers offered as well a program of social events including a formal gala and a trip to a medieval Viking settlement. It was a great opportunity to see our friends and meet new colleagues.
