Poland entered the Geneva Act of the Hague Agreement concerning the International Registration of Industrial Designs on July 2nd, 2009. This system gives the owner of an industrial design for Poland the possibility to have his design protected in up to 56 countries being the part of the Hague Agreement.

Under the Hague System by simply filing one application with the International Bureau of WIPO in one language gives the owner of an industrial design easy way to have his design protected in several countries. It also simplifies the management of an industrial design rights. It is possible to record changes or to renew the registration through a single procedure with the International Bureau of WIPO.

At this stage there are 35 contracting parties to the Geneva Act of the Hague Agreement, including the European Union.
