Rafał Witek has joined the Quality Advisory Panel of the Polish Patent Office
The Quality Advisory Panel is a pilot program launched under the Order of the President of the Polish Patent Office of August 8, 2024.
The aim of the Panel is to engage civity society organizations specializing in the protection of industrial property in improving the quality management system at the Office. Representatives of such organizations are to analyze the final decisions of the Office in cases of oppositions to trademark applications and in cases of patent invalidation, indicate possible discrepancies in the interpretation of regulations and identify areas for which it would be reasonable to develop good practices.
This program is inteded to contribute to improving the clarity, consistency and predictability of decisions issued by the Office.
Among the civil society organizations that have proposed their representatives are the Polish Chamber of Patent Attorneys, the Association for the Protection of Industrial Property Polish Group AIPPI, the National Chamber of Legal Advisers, ECTA, and the Supreme Bar Council.
Rafał Witek participates in the work of the Advisory Panel as a representative of the Polish Chamber of Patent Attorneys.
