On the blog of the International Federation of Intellectual Property Attorneys (FICPI) an article by Rafał Witek, a member of the FICPI, was published: it concerns changes in the legal framework applicable to the SPC – both changes that have already been implemented, as well as those that are still discussed. Rafał presents solutions regarding the Manufacturing Waiver which was introduced by Regulation 2019/933 of the European Parliament and the Council, and analyzes possibilities for ensuring compatibility between the SPC and the unitary patent system in the EU.
