AIPPI Trilateral Seminar

On April 18-19, Anna Rożkowicz, Anna Gdula, and Rafał Witek took part in a seminar organized jointly by the Polish, French and German AIPPI groups.

The seminar took place at the Staszic Palace in Warsaw and attracted a wide international group of participants.

The organizers invited many excellent speakers, both practitioners and representatives of the academic community, who shared their expert knowledge about current issues in the field of industrial property protection and civil law. The opening speech of the seminar was delivered by Edyta Demby-Siwek, President of the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland. Among numerous topics on agenda there were, i.a., preliminary measures in proceedings before the UPC and national patent offices, indirect infringements of industrial property rights in cross-border situations, as well as IP protection in the context of the war in Ukraine. The program was also rich in special panels on specific issues in the area of trademarks, patents, and copyrights.

An additional nice aspect of the event was the formal dinner at the “U Wieniawy” restaurant, which took place on the first day of the seminar.

The perfect organization and the depth of knowledge conveyed during the seminar made it time very well spent. We would like to express our gratitude towards our hosts.
